Argentina – GLI provides training to Argentina’s Loteria Nacional Sociedad del Estado

By - 20 April 2017

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) experts traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina to perform a series of training sessions for the Loteria Nacional Sociedad del Estado, the gaming regulatory entity for the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The City of Buenos Aires is home of three casinos that are regulated by the Loteria Nacional Sociedad del Estado, and more than 6,000 gaming machines are in operation. The regulatory entity contacted GLI to provide expert and customized training as part of its efforts to continue their strong inspection department personnel’s professional development and skills.

Produced by GLI’s world-renowned education program – GLI University – the training was tailored to meet the jurisdiction’s specific needs. The Loteria Nacional’s objective in requesting training was to build on its inspectors’ and professionals’ knowledge in order to continue to guarantee regulation compliance in the jurisdiction’s casinos, which, in turn, protects public trust, public order and due taxes.

GLI’s Director of Latin America and Caribbean Government Relations and Business Development Karen Marcela Sierra-Hughes said, “We are grateful to the Loteria Nacional Sociedad del Estado for trusting GLI in this very important effort and for considering the GLI University curriculum as a step in their plans to continue to strive for excellence.

“The sessions included classroom-type training and hands-on training for field inspection procedures of all the different types of technologies available in the jurisdiction,” she said. “GLI is committed to the regulators’ education, which is one of the key factors in maintaining governability and competence to effectively supervise and ensure compliance of the jurisdiction regulations. It is also the key to preparing regulators for the future, especially as new technologies continue to develop in the gaming industry. We look forward to the next opportunity to collaborate with the Loteria Nacional.”
