Brazil – Sportradar to monitor betting patterns in Brazil

By - 12 April 2017

Sportradar’s Integrity Services will use its award-winning Fraud Detection System to monitor betting patterns across each of the league’s 92 matches each season.

In a multi-year contract, the Associação de Clubes de Futebol Profissional de Santa Catarina (ACFPSC) and the Federação Catarinense de Futebol (FCF) have decided to work with Sportradar Integrity Services in order to safeguard the Campeonato Catarinense Serie A, a key state competition in Brazilian football.

ACFPSC CEO Luiz Henrique Martins Ribeiro said: “Our responsibility is to ensure that Santa Catarina’s football is pure, exciting and uplifting. There can be no half measures in this regard. If our commitment level is the highest possible, the calibre of our partner must be the highest possible. There was no way we could consider anyone other than CONMEBOL and FIFA’s official partner Sportradar. We are delighted we can count on them as allies.”

FCF President Rubens Renato Angelotti echoed these sentiments, “Our state has a proud tradition of football and we are glad we can establish a working relationship with the global leaders in integrity. Their reputation precedes them and we are sure that their oversight will send a powerful message of how the FCF and the ACFPSC intend to drive the Campeonata Catarinense’s bright future.”

Andreas Krannich, who leads Sportradar’s Integrity Services worldwide added: “The level of support and respect that we have received in Brazil has been incredible and we are humbled that the ACFPSC have put pen to paper with us and that the FCF have thrown their support behind the relationship as well. We will work tirelessly to support our new friends over the coming seasons.”
