Canada – Casino de Montréal awards Powerbucks jackpot

The Casino de Montréal has just awarded one of the biggest prizes in its history thanks to the new Powerbucks slot machine – Loto-Québec with one player winning $ 1.7m from a $15 bet.
It marked the first win in the history of the Powerbucks slot won in Quebec. The progressive is already being played in other Canadian provinces. Starting at $1,000,000m, the Powerbucks jackpot was launched on Espacejeux.com and at casinos and gaming salons in Quebec in January 2017.
With bets of only $ 0.50, The Powerbucks is innovative in that it links online gambling with land-based slots, and connects venues in British Columbia and Manitoba.
Due to the high number of players, both online and in the casinos of the three provinces, the jackpot amount rises quickly.
Kevin Taylor, President of Operations at the Société des Casinos of Quebec, said: “The Powerbucks, which has been in operation since the summer of 2016 in British Columbia, is a great success and is very popular with western Canadian customers. We were happy to finally offer it to Quebec customers, but we are even happier that the first progressive jackpot in Canada will be won at the Casino de Montréal.”
