Canada – IGT’s Powerbucks pays out at Casino Montréal

International Game Technology’s Powerbucks theme, Powerhits was struck on April 30, 2017 by a lucky player at Casino Montréal in Québec, Canada, who won a $1,737,626 Canadian dollar jackpot.
The colossal payout marks the first million-dollar-plus jackpot awarded via Canada’s Powerbucks link, an omni-channel wide area progressive game that links the jackpot prize pool between the land-based, mobile and desktop versions of the game.
“Powerbucks has been offered in Canada since the summer of 2016 and is very popular with customers. We were pleased to finally offer it to Quebecers in our casinos, gaming halls and online, and are delighted that the first progressive jackpot in Canada was won here at the Casino de Montréal,” said Kevin Taylor, Operations President, Société des casinos du Québec.
