By - 27 November 2015

Lottoland, which specialises in offering licensed and regulated betting on the outcome of major lotteries worldwide, has further strengthened its senior management team by recruiting Lucky Multani as Chief Operating Officer.

This is the second senior appointment made by Lottoland in recent weeks, following the recruitment of Glen Bullen as VP of the company’s new B2B division – Lottoland Solutions.

His online gaming career began in 1999 within 888’s deposits teams, before moving on to head-up its fraud prevention and anti-money laundering processes over the following years. In 2011, he was promoted to VP of Fraud & Risk and in March last year he became VP, Risk Management & Regulatory Operations that involved managing teams in New Jersey, Antigua and Gibraltar.

In his role as COO at Lottoland, Mr Multani’s primary responsibility will cover the fraud, payments, legal and compliance aspects of Lottoland’s business and its operational performance. He will also be involved with the development of the technology strategy.

Mr Multani said: “Lottoland has achieved a great deal in a short space of time and opened up a new category of online gaming through an innovative approach to betting on lotteries. It has a great future ahead and I am really looking forward to helping to ensure that it remains at the top of this new fast-moving and exciting online gaming category.”

Nigel Birrell, CEO at Lottoland commented: “Lucky’s vast experience and understanding of online gaming regulation will prove invaluable as we continue to quickly develop Lottoland, which is already the established market-leader in its field with 2 million registered customers in its first two years of operation.”
