Greece – Eurocoin celebrates opening of 11th European office in Athens

By - 14 December 2017

Eurocoin has expanded its already extensive European footprint with the opening of a new Greek E-Service office.

Situated in Athens, the technical service and support operation raises the total number of offices which operate under the Eurocoin Group umbrella to 11, underlining the company’s commitment to provide a fully integrated support service which meets the demands and nuances of the international machine sector.

Colin Veitch, Sales and Marketing Director of the organisation which is widely respected not only as a distribution company, but as a service business and a machine operations specialist, believes the dynamics of the modern industry necessitate agility and speed of response throughout the supply chain. He explained: “We recognise that our customers are under pressure to reduce their production line lead times and machine down-times to an absolute minimum, dynamics that we are fully committed and resourced to support. However, this can only be achieved by having a credible, professional team across Europe who know their regional markets and can provide expert back-up. We are set-up to satisfy the day-to-day demands of what is a very dynamic pan-European industry.”

While Athens is the most recent addition to the Eurocoin Group network, the company’s most significant presence on the continent of Europe is in Hungary, where Eurocoin has been active since 1993. “Budapest is our main production and logistics centre in Europe,” confirmed Veitch. “Eurocoin has been actively trading here for approaching 25 years now, and we have recently made significant investments to create our centre for high quality component production. All the major European roads and railway lines converge on Budapest, making the city a vital transport hub and one from which we can cater for the needs of customers throughout the continent. This is augmented by the regional placement of our high-calibre team members, who work closely with the London-based and Regional Directors to meet our clients’ expectations”

Looking ahead to 2018, Colin Veitch added: “We have other regional opportunities constantly under review, and try to spend a great deal of time listening and responding to our clients. Our core objective is to meet the needs of the market by working to its timetable and one key to our success has certainly been making commitments to having a strong, capable presence on the ground.
