ICE – Merkur to show its first XI in cabinets

By - 30 January 2015

Merkur Gaming will be showing a total of 11 different cabinets at ICE; comprising Evolution, Privilege Plus, WB 4, Vision Plus, Uno, Motion, Motion 2, Highflyer, Evolution SL, Avantgarde SLT and Ozone.

Merkur Gaming offers so much more than just ‘upright’ or ‘slant top’ gaming machines. For example, the Highflyer is a slant top with a real difference. The upper monitor here seems to be floating in the air. Extensive marketing research, followed by focused R&D work led to this solution where players can choose between two fundamental seating positions either focusing on the lower gaming screen or choosing the gaming screen to be on the upper monitor with the desire to lean back and relax to this unique gaming experience. Talking about unique, the Ozone is just that. This gaming orb allows the player to completely indulge him or herself in this wonderful gaming experience. It has the feeling of an amusement machine as the player sits inside the orb and is shielded from the outside world. The sound effects can naturally be made most use of with such a design.

Merkur Gaming’s philosophy is all about offering choice. Merkur Gaming recognises that players have different needs and aspirations when playing and the extremely wide cabinet choice reflects this. Visitors to the Merkur Gaming stand will see focused solutions for particular gaming markets, such as for Spain, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Italy and South Africa.

Blueprint Gaming, a leading UK supplier of gaming machines and digital content to land-based venues, server-based gaming networks and online & mobile casinos, will also be on the stand. Cashpoint is the company responsible for sports betting within the Gauselmann Group with its focus both on online sports betting and land-based sports betting with an array of exciting sports betting terminals.

The Gauselmann Group is a pioneer in bringing banknote recycling to gaming machines – so much so that it developed its own solution – the Merkur Dispenser 100 – to ensure its success.

The further-improved version called Merkur Dispenser Gold will be on display on the Merkur Gaming stand. This banknote recycler can store and pay out three separate denominations with a capacity of 34 notes of each type.

Ralf Markmann, Managing Director at Merkur Gaming, is looking forward to his first ICE, said: “Never before has Merkur Gaming offered so many gaming mpossibilities. We understand that each market has its own special requirements and can draw upon great internal knowledge from our long-standing multi-lingual team and naturally from a cabinet and games choice that incredibly keeps continuing to grow. ‘Made in Germany’ with all the local market requirements inbuilt. Merkur Gaming has so much to offer to global gaming.”
