Malta – GSA Europe’s first open house well attended in Malta

By - 18 July 2017

GSA Europe, a division of the Gaming Standards Association, recently held its first open house, drawing more than 30 attendees from across the European gaming industry spectrum.

Headlining the event was Malta Gaming Authority Executive Chairman Joseph Cuschieri, who addressed attendees and shared his excitement for working with GSA members to raise industry standards. He said: “The gaming industry in Europe is a rich and diverse tapestry, and I expect GSA Europe’s mission will go a long way towards better serving this industry’s unique needs and in establishing standards that will benefit suppliers, operators, and regulators.”

Additionally, GSA introduced its latest membership category, the Online Gaming Committee Membership, which was well received by attendees. This new committee gives European suppliers, operators, and regulators a more direct voice into standards being developed that may affect online gaming.

GSA Europe was created earlier this year. The new Malta-based division focuses on better serving the regional needs of suppliers, manufacturers, online and land-based operators, and regulators outside North America and offers members many significant benefits including:
• European legal jurisdiction
• Membership levels and dues identical to those of GSA (U.S.)
• Participation on the GSA Board for eligible membership levels
• Participation in all committees for eligible membership levels
• European members will have input into GSA’s global strategy and direction
