Romania – Bit8 secures Romanian B2B licence

Gaming platform software provider Bit8 has secured a class two B2B licence in Romania, strengthening its already sizeable presence in the country.
The licence comes after the re-regulation of the rapidly expanding Romania market back in September, and allows Bit8 to offer its multi-channel platform to both land-based and online operators.
Bit8 established itself as the casino platform provider of choice in Romania after striking a deal with the country’s largest retail and online bookmaker, Super Bet, to power its online casino site, superbet.ro.
Angelo Dalli, Bit8 CEO, said: “Romania is an exciting market, and we are thrilled to have received our licence from the regulator. It’s testament to the quality of our platform that it passed so quickly; it has always been scalable and designed to be multi-jurisdictional.”

Bit8 announced a strategic partnership with Greek lottery supplier Intralot earlier this year, allowing them to provide their products in over 50 countries worldwide.
The company is currently under-going a huge recruitment drive at its Ta’Xbiex headquarters in Malta, including software developers, QA testers and service desk agents.
