Spain – R. Franco celebrates 50 years of manufacturing

The R. Franco Group celebrated its 50th anniversary with a gala dinner at Casino de Madrid, in Alcalá street on March 23.
The group gathered a wide delegation of politicians and prominent members from the entertaining industry, including, among others, His Excellency Rafael Catalá, Minister of Justice, representing the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid, its President and Managing Director, Messrs. Fernández and Prieto, President and Managing Director of CEIM, Messrs. Lázaro and Garrido de la Cierva, together with the highest representation of General Directors of Gaming of virtually all the autonomous communities, sector associations and the widest list of customers and friends.
In the course of the event, Pedro Melendo, General Director of the Group, addressed the audience with words of gratitude, which were endorsed by the President Jesús Franco. The speech reminded the audience of the evolution of the Group since its beginnings, with some of the first machines manufactured being exhibited in the Casino de Madrid, up to its most recent and successful models. All the entertaining industry attendees had the opportunity to remember the high sales figures of one of the first ones, unparalleled until now: 60,000 units of the Baby Fruit model, and others with unbeatable collection figures, such as Santa Fe Gold, Santa Fe Mine, within a long list which continues today with Gnomos Mix or Neópolis to name just two.
A spokesperson said: “It was an evening full of anecdotes, memories and images of a venture half a century old which looks into the future with the strength provided by experience, knowledge and an unswerving vocation to maintain its permanent innovation and leadership position, heading the entertaining industry in each and every dimension.”
