UK – Genting could offload Maxims for £40m

Genting UK could be about to sell Maxims, the exclusive Kensington casino, for £40m.

Genting, which bought the casino as part of the package that saw it overtake Stanley casinos ten years ago has reportedly appointed CBRE, the property consultancy, to oversee the sale.

Genting owns several high-roller, VIP casinos in London, including Crockfords Club, The Colony Club and The Palm Beach Casino. The main difference with maxims is its location in Kensington. Most of London’s casinos are based in Mayfair.

Maxims is housed within Palace Gate House, a grade II listed Victorian townhouse built in the 1860s.
