US – Konami’s Dungeons & Dragons praised at Valley View Casino

By - 11 August 2014

Konami Gaming has received celebrated response last month from Valley View Casino & Hotel in Valley Center, CA during the inaugural launch of its Dungeons & Dragons video slot game themes.

At the landmark debut event on July 22, Dungeons & Dragons’ worldwide recognition as the leader of modern role-play gaming was brought to Valley View Casino & Hotel’s casino floor complete with mythical warriors, glowing polyhedral dice, Dungeon Master bonus games and hundreds of red dragons. Dungeons & Dragons is featured on KONAMI’s KP3 Podium Monument with two exciting game themes, Enchanted Riches and Conquests & Treasures, both featuring a 4-level standalone progressive, free game campaigns and Xtra Reward.

“It’s a pretty cool game,” said Alana Burlact, one of Valley View’s first guests on the waiting list to play the Dungeons & Dragons slots. “What stood out to me is how the hidden symbols land and then reveal to give you the actual numbers or symbols, so you anticipate what you’re going to get. Are you going to get more money? Or the bonus? It’s unusual, so I think it will probably attract a lot of people.”
Throughout the all-day promotional event, Valley View Casino & Hotel guests lined up to be the nation’s first to play the new Dungeons & Dragons video slot game and take its Dungeon Master big-reel bonus for a spin. In addition to door prizes and memorable photo ops with the game’s warrior character, guests were presented with authentic game figures of the fire-breathing red dragon, which is represented throughout the slot game play and scowling from atop the machines.

“The players we see this day and age are out looking for entertainment, and there’s a lot of entertainment value in the new Dungeons & Dragons slot machines,” said Valley View vice president of slot operations Randy Reedy. “They really enjoy the experience. Just watching them, they get excited about additional bonuses within the free spin feature, which takes them to the progressive functionality. It’s very fun and interactive.”

“I like it, and I think other people will like it too,” said Julio Mateo, who devoted several hours to the machine, occasionally passing kisses to the screen for good luck. When asked if he’ll be back to play the game, Mateo said, “Yes, for sure. Maybe I’ll try the other one with the sun elf, but I want to play the dragon warrior game a little more.” Both are leading characters in Enchanted Riches and Conquests & Treasures, respectively.

Konami’s Dungeons & Dragons five-reel video slot games are available now on Podium Monument.
