US – MGM launches oneLIVE mobile tournaments across Nevada

By - 5 December 2016

MGM Resorts has expanded its online presence in Las Vegas with online tournaments being rolled out to players located within the state’s boundaries.

MGM introduced its easyPLAY mobile in July, a joint project with oneLIVE, that allowed players at nine iconic Las Vegas resorts to compete with other players in a variety of tournament games using their own mobile devices whether they are at the pool, sipping cocktails at the bar, or simply relaxing in their rooms.

easyPLAY provides the opportunity for guests to win thousands of dollars in cash and other prizes by playing in regularly scheduled tournaments of classic casino games including slots, bingo and video poker as well as fun social, casual and console games.

Guests 21 years of age or older could participate in easyPLAY tournaments from any mobile device, personal laptop, or the new InteractivePro.

Now MGM has expanded this offering for anyone in Nevada.
oneLIVE President and CEO Michael Jabara said: “Given the success that we enjoyed with the on-property offering at MGM Resorts, we developed the right technology for easyPLAY to expand within the whole of Nevada. MGM Resorts leads the way with creating innovative experiences and programming for its guests. With our easyPLAY Interactive Tournament Platform, MGM Resorts’ guests now have access to fantastic contests and tournaments that weren’t possible before”

Tom Mikulich, Senior Vice President of Business Development for MGM Resorts International, added: “The tournaments are extremely user-friendly, provide players with a variety of game options including slots and bingo, among others, and bring an element of competition that our guests will enjoy whether they are sitting at a bar enjoying a drink or simply hanging out by the pool.”
Outside of Nevada, easyPLAY offers free to enter free-play tournaments with no cash prizes.
